Easy to Learn, Challenging Game

STRIPES, on the surface, seems a lot like a game called CIRCLES where you have to match stripes of certain colors. But that's about it as far as similarity. In STRIPES, you get seven cards to play with and a row of actions that can only be used once a round. The goal is to create a continuous line from one side of your row of cards to another by moving the cards up or down or swapping them out according to the gameplay. Super-simple rules, but mastery of the game? That's where it's challenging! You only get up to seven actions that can be done on any given round; once that action has been used, it cannot be played again until the next round -- actions include drawing from the deck, sliding one or two cards, stealing from the player to your right, or trading a card with anyone, so long as it's in the same location. Oh, we had a great time playing this! So much strategy involved for such a simple concept! Definitely consider buying this game. We played with three people and each game took about 20-25 minutes to play, mainly because of all the strategy and thinking ahead that was involved. I can't say enough good things about this!

Fun, quick game!

Stripes has been a hit game when we're looking for something quick to learn in a group but still engaging and fun! It's appropriate for all ages, and our friends enjoy being able to construct their own rows while interfering with everyone else's. Games usually take less than 20 minutes, and a single card can make or break a winner! Stripes is a great choice for your next gathering!

So fun!

This was a clever and beautifully made game! I love games that are easy to learn. You need a little strategy and can be a bit devilish with fellow players. A +!

Fun for all levels!

Stripes is a great game for almost any level of player. We enjoyed the fact that it is fast-paced, yet easy enough for the entire family to enjoy. Based on our experience, it's a great option for casual card players as well as the more experienced - fun for the whole family!
