Fight the Beasts, Dwell the Land, Claim the Magic! A long lost world of magical power awaits! Giant monsters roam while Dragons, Wizards and Warriors battle in 8 elemental realms.
Dwellings of Eldervale blends worker placement, area control, engine building and unique worker units. Players take turns placing a worker in Eldervale or regrouping and activating their tableau of adventure cards. Action spaces include realms key to power: a summoning portal, an ancient mill, the lost fortress, deep dungeons, and a crumbling mage tower and the elemental lands of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Light, Dark, Order and Chaos! Magic cards grant spells, quests and prophecies to players.
In the end, the players with the most elemental dominance among the multiple paths to victory will reign over Eldervale.

This is such a great game. It was very easy to learn and I love the game play! Great worker placement mechanics and the combat is actually quite fun! I will recommend it to all of my friends!

Dwellings is a fantastic board game. It's got worker placement, tableau building, epic battles with monsters and other players, and a good story. I thoroughly enjoy playing it. My only complaint is that they no longer have the Deluxe components available for purchase. But if you don't mind playing with the card board pieces, then it's all good.

I was seeking a good solo game, and this certainly fits the bill. The rulebook, although comprehensive, doesn’t always make it easy to find what you need and I needed to find many things my first few play throughs. It needs a complete icon key and I’d like to see key points make easier to locate. I found scoring to be confusing with more explanation required. Fortunately, some good reviews and online play throughs helped, as did BGG. Still, once you play it two or three times, it all starts to come together. It’s a beautiful game, incredibly well organized and easy to set up, and now I’m interested in the legendary addition. I’m sorry I didn’t discover it sooner.
I’ve managed to get two games of Dwellings in and have had a great time each playthrough. Once with 4 players and once with 5. After reading the rules I found the Risk style combat resolution a dubious choice, but in actual play it was a lot of fun. The magic system is quick, as is combat. Even if you lose in a battle your units still reap some rewards so it’s not an all or nothing proposition to commit to battle. This eliminates the desire to turtle and helps make aggressive play less cutthroat. I’m really happy with my purchase. If I have one desire it would be that the deluxe resource tokens pack was available to pimp my game a little more. I DID pick up the wooden treasure token pack. While they don’t look terribly different from the cardboard tokens, their slightly brighter and shinier appearance does look awesome on the gameboard.
Amazing quality and game!
Unique fantasy board game with relatively easy to learn mechanics while still retaining some depth
I love the game, its actually one of my top five. However as far as a product I have to take stars off as they do not sell expansion with just standees, and I don't want to pay 70 dollars PLUS shipping if I just want the standees of new monsters and cards. Please just offer it on the site!
I would love to review this game, but I ordered it 2 weeks ago and still haven’t received it yet - will update review when I get the game.
This game is fantastic.
Simply awesome.
Such a fun game! There were just a couple of components that came messed up, but Breaking Games’ customer support quickly replaced them without question! I will definitely be buying from them again!
Ever since I picked up Dwellings of Eldervale, I have been hooked. So much so that I keep trying to get the add ons, but it's all sold out!
